Physical theatre is a type of performance through which we can tell stories and express thoughts and feelings, using physical movement. Text may sometimes be used alongside movement, but the emphasis is on gestures, body language, and physical expression.
Arty Party runs a physical theatre group called Storymakers. The group meets at Trinity Centre, Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, on Fridays. Arty Party Physical Theatre is facilitated by artist, Ray Jacobs, who has worked in this field for many years. The group also includes Richard Edwards, Arty Party’s Creative Advocate.
